When you create an account: your email address, a username, and an optional display name. If you sign up with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google — never your password.
When you use the app: the places you rate and the scores you give, the places you save, the places you hide, who you follow, your private notes on saved places, photos you upload, and your language choice.
Automatically: we record events about how the app is used — a page was opened, a place was saved, a map was opened. This is linked to your account and used to improve the service. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking tools.
Location: the app may ask for your location to show nearby places. It is handled in your browser only and never stored by us. You can always decline.

| Improving the service from usage patterns | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
Your username, display name, profile picture, ratings with their comments and tags, the photos you upload, and who you follow are visible to other Tastegogo users.
Your email address is not visible to other users.
Photos you upload may be shown as the cover image on a place's page.
We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing.
We use these processors to run the service:
We keep your data for as long as you have an account.
If you delete your account, your profile, ratings, saved places, notes, photos, follows and event data are deleted. This happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Places you added to the catalogue remain in the app, but are no longer linked to you.
We keep a record of unsubscribed email addresses so we do not accidentally email you again. It is the only thing that survives deletion, and it exists precisely to protect you.
You have the right of access, rectification and erasure. You have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw consent.
You can delete your account yourself under You → Settings → Delete account.
For anything else, write to contact@tastegogo.com. We reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark — datatilsynet.dk.
We only use cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember whether you have access to the closed beta. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or analytics.
Tastegogo is not intended for children under 15, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
If we change this policy materially, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
